Boolboonda

Boolboonda receiving office, 12 km from Mt Perry and 68 km south west of Bundaberg. The post office opened on 14 February 1882 before being reduced to a receiving office on 18 September 1884 with the closure of the telegraph office there.The railway opened in November 1883 and from that time onwards the post office and then the receiving office operated out of the railway cottage. From 18 September 1884 the receiving office keeper was Mrs Marshall, in 1885 Mrs Hudson and from 1886 onwards Mrs McDade.
